Thank You, CNAs!!!
When patients are hospitalized for a certain illness, many of them are stressed out. Consequently, the recovery is more difficult as the patients’ psychological condition is not supporting the recovery. Patients with serious illness tend to give up on themselves and start to undergo the treatment reluctantly. At this point, many desperate patients are helped by the presence of the CNA or Certified Nursing Assistants. A CNA is the person who is caring for the patients on daily basis and make sure that they are ready for a treatment done by the nurse or doctor. The tasks of a CNA cover so many things, including helping the patients with dressings, clean the rooms, changing the sheets and supervising the patients’ exercises.
CNAs are there all the time for the patients and therefore they build close connections to them. Many times the patients get their courage and motivation to recover from the CNAs instead of their own family. That is why when patients leave the hospital; their gratitude goes not only to the doctors or nurses, but also to the CNAs. Though the tasks seem simple, it takes a high qualification to be a CNA. CNA classes and training as well as the CNA examinations should be taken to be entitled to become a CNA.
